Welcome to DSA′s home on the web!

The Darien Soccer Association is dedicated to providing our youth players with an enjoyable and educational athletic experience.  We provide players of all skill levels a structure built around sportsmanship, dedication and individual development.

The health and safety of DSA athletes is our number one priority.  All coaches are required to have background checks, concussion training, and SafeSport certification satisfactorily obtained.  We regularly monitor our coaches on the fields, and organize our programs in alignment with U.S. Center for SafeSport best practices and The CDC and CT Department of Public Health COVID Protocols.

House Soccer Referees needed- Open to 7th Graders & Up

House Soccer Referee- Open to those currently in 7th grade or above.

DSA is recruiting those interested in becoming a referee for House Soccer (K, 1st & 2nd graders).  The program is open to anyone currently in 7th Grade or above.

The games are every Saturday at MMS Upper and Lower Fields for the youngest players.  The goal is for the kids learn the basic rules, have fun and be safe.  You help them do that.

Refs get paid $15/game.  The games last under one hour.  Games are scheduled all day long on Saturday, so you can fit this in around other activities you have going on.

We conduct a 90 minute training session which you must attend at the start of each season to work as a referee.  We review the guidelines, walk through some scenarios, and then have you observe referees working a House match to see how it is done.

Due to various scheduling issues, training will tak place on one date this season, Saturday, April 24th, 2021.

There will be 3 sessions offered, as follows:

9:00am -10:30 am

10:30 -Noon

You only need to attend 1 session. No Sign up necessary, just show up.  We will get your information on the attendance sheet.

All training takes place at Middlesex Upper field.  If House Soccer is canceled, then the House Referee Training is also canceled.

Returning Referees - wear your uniforms, bring your whistle

Everyone must  bring a copy of House Referee Instructions from the Documents folder on DSA website.  Here is the link:
